This is kind of late, but I thought I'd post it anyways.  So three days before Halloween I still didn't have a costume for my sons first Halloween!! My husband suggested ghostbusters and although I knew it would be difficult to pull off I decided it would be perfect for his first costume. I love halloween and I want my son to always have awesome homemade costumes.  I got a friend to make the flight suit, I went to active surplus for some parts(lights, wires, knobs and such) and alot of foam core and duct tape later here is how it came out :)

I was pretty proud of myself for making the proton pack light up! :)

The theme of my sons room is Monsters. Friendly monsters of course....
think sesame street, the muppets, fraggle rock, monsters inc, e.t.c. But also some monsters of my own creations. I plan on getting his room done by January when he'll be ready to move in there (he sleeps in our room at the moment), and will post more pics as I get things done. So to start things off here are some letters spelling out his name that I created to hang in his room. I started off with basic wooden letters and sculpted on top, then baked and painted the whole thing. I'm so excited to get his room done, because then I can go back to sculpting other things (which I haven't really had the time to do since he's been born). Enjoy!

Technical Difficulties

I finally realized that the quality of the film would best be seen by posting it on youtube and sharing the link here instead of trying to upload the actual film.  So here it finally is lol!

Been a LONG time since I last posted.  Alot has happened since. Well, not alot, but one major thing has happened that has kept me fairly busy. I got pregnant.  I've been doing some freelance sculpting work to help pay the bills but nothing major.  I'm now 7 months pregant and cannot WAIT for my little guy to be here so I can begin another stop-mo short(and obviously can't ait to meet him as well :p).  At the moment I'm busy planning my baby shower and other events have kept me so busy but once the baby is here(January) I will have time to focus on personal projects. So excited!! I know I still need to post my first short.  When I tried it the first time on this computer it wouldn't work for some reason (it's a fairly old and slow computer) so I need to try it on my laptop, just haven't gotten around to getting it on there yet.  Anyways, that's all for now folks.

....and here is the promo pic.

SOOOOOO sorry for not posting in a while...been pretty busy. Heres some pics of all that went into making a ten second short.  The short itself will be posted after the pics.  It was a crazy project that I really wasn't prepared for, but I handed it in and it made the TAIS Anijam screening here in Toronto, so for that I am proud of what I have accomplished.  It was definitely a learning experience, and next time around I know it will be way better planned(this one wasn't planned out at all, and I was using a program I had no idea how to use, but I did my best with what i was given).  I sort of think of this project as practice, and next time I will give it my all. :)
